I know, I know; I came home 2 days ago so this post is most definitely overdue. But with all the running around I’ve been doing, going to the doctor’s, the orthodontist’s, and shopping for college I haven’t had time to blog since I’ve come back to the States. I won’t be blogging for a … Continue reading
I’M HOMEEEEE!!!! That’s right folks, I’m back in New Jersey for the first time in 5 weeks. Wow, it feels good to be back; I’ve been going around hugging all my furniture because I missed my house so much. I can’t believe how foreign my house looks to me right now… I still have one … Continue reading
I love the rain. I adore everything about it, from the sound that it makes as it hits the rooftops to the dark, foreboding clouds that cover the sky right before a storm. And in Korea you get a lot of rain, especially in the few weeks during the middle of summer known as sohnagee season. Sonahgees … Continue reading
Wallpaper has got to be one of the prettiest places I’ve been to in Korea, and I’ve seen a lot of cute cafes/bistros/stores here. It’s the biggest cafe that I’ve been to, with 2 floors and a 3rd one in the works. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the people who work … Continue reading
Although my mom, my sister and I were supposed to go to church on Sunday, the first we thing we actually did that morning was go to a cafe. Because really, what else is there to do on a Sunday morning when all the shops are close and you only have an hour to kill? … Continue reading
It feels like over the past month, I’ve explored almost every town, tourist attraction and shopping district that Seoul has to offer. But that’s OBVIOUSLY not true because just this past Saturday I went to a place called Samcheongdong that I’ve never heard of before. It’s actually really close to Insadong and the KyungBookGoong; you … Continue reading
You guys must be getting sick of these multi-course Korean-fusion meals by now, since that’s pretty much the only thing I eat when I go out to meet relatives. Don’t get me wrong, it all tastes good, but it does get a little repetitive after a while and the courses are pretty similar. Since you … Continue reading
Our last day at PyeongChang, the only thing we really did at Phoenix Park was check out of the hotel. Exciting, ain’t it? Yeah, well it’s about to get EVEN BETTER because the rest of that day was specially reserved for doing stuffs in the local PyeongChang area. Like going to a Korean Buddhist temple.
The second day at PyeongChang, my family all headed over to the resort’s water park for some good ol’ summer fun. We splished and splashed among the many water slides and wave pools for a couple of hours before heading back to the hotel room. Sorry there aren’t any pictures, but I didn’t want my … Continue reading
I’M BAAAAAACK. I know I was dearly missed by all of you; there must’ve been a gaping hole these past 3 days with this sad lack of posts on YEN, but the next few posts should make up for it. That’s what I’m hoping for, anyways. MOVING ON. The reason I went on a family … Continue reading
