rainy morning latte

Well, it was raining when I was drinking it.. It was thundering this morning, and now it’s super sunny out. -o-; What the heck?

Anyways, I was rummaging through the kitchen drawer when I found this:

whiirrrr

A milk frother! :O

I really wanted to try it, so I promptly heated up some milk with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and frothed it up. It was SO COOL. It took like 2 seconds to get all foamy. Then I poured my coffee into the milk and added a touch more cinnamon on top.

I think the foam’s a little thin because I used 1% milk; maybe if I had used whole, it would’ve frothed up a lot better. But it was still yummy, and it was fun sipping it off the top. I ended up getting a foam mustache..

Looks good right? (: Perfect cold weather drink. I can’t wait to experiment more with the frother; hot chocolates, coffee, chai lattes.. I think I’m on my way to becoming a barista.

I might post again later today, so I’ll keep this one short. But guess what came in the mail a couple days ago:

No housing stuff yet, but I feel like this really makes it official. AHH I’m really going to college!! :D

  1. MMmmmm. I love lattes. My sister got an expresso machine a while back so I have been enjoying some delicious caramel lattes in the comfort of my own home for the past year or so..!! =)

I don’t think you’re using an espresso machine, but bialetti makes something called a Moka which is pretty darn awesome if I do say so myself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moka_(coffee_pot)

  3. Haha to the foam-stache. I could imagine your boyish self with a mustache. And congratulations, its college time for the tiny eunice. Yeah, I’m waiting for my Parsons package – just to make the whole thing feel more “official”. Ah, can’t wait.
